DEF LEPPARD Singer Says New Album Coming Sooner Rather Than Later
September 6, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: DEF LEPPARD have been famous for taking years to make a new album, but that might not be the case for their next project. The band was working on new material while recording their covers project "Yeah!", and according to a message from lead singer Joe Elliott on the official DefLeppard.com web site, "Although it's way too early to make promises... we're gonna try and get a new album done in time to tour in 2007." Elliott said the band was thinking about dates in Europe, where they played earlier this year, as well as heading to Japan and Australia. The singer did caution fans that nothing was set in stone, writing "Of course, anything can change — and lots of things probably will!!!! — but as of right now, that's our plan."
DEF LEPPARD recently released their cover of T. REX's "20th Century Boy" as the new single from "Yeah!"
The band is on tour with JOURNEY, and their next stop is tonight (Wednesday, September 6) at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
